Here is an animated diagram explaining the process using Geothermal Heat Pumps for heating and cooling your home from the outside to the inside.

Low Energy Use:
By taking advantage of the earths ability to store heat, a heat pump uses 70% less energy than a conventional heating and cooling system.

Free or Reduced-Cost Hot Water:
Heat pumps can reduce hot water costs by as much as 70% with the use of a “desuperheater”. The desuperheater transfers heat from the heat pump to a domestic hot water tank whenever the compressor is running. In summer this can mean free hot water.

Comfort Year-Round:
Generous airflow and even temperature provide maximum comfort. Increased humidity control in cooling mode.

Design:
Heat Pump systems are designed to fit both new and existing installations.

Low Environmental Impact / Safe:
Xterra Series heat pumps can reduce Green House gases by two thirds compared with conventional heating and cooling systems. They do not burn fossil fuels, virtually eliminating CO2 emissions.

Low Maintenance:
One third less than a conventional system.

Durability:
All components are chosen for their durability and reliability. The use of stainless steel cabinets, scroll compressors and few moving parts allows for longer life of the system.
